Designer Cupcakes

I've heard of celebrities (and my over-the-top friend) getting birthday cakes as Louis Vuitton bags but this takes the cake. These Fashion Cupcakes prop-styled by Lisa Edsalv and shot by photographer Therese Aldgard, were inspired by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Agent Provocateur and Betsey Johnson . They look too sweet to eat!

Gap Summer 2009 Lookbook

Summer is here! Well, at the Gap it is. For the summer 2009 collection Patrick Robinson focuses on clean, nautical basics that look great on everyone. Boyfriend jeans, prairie skirts and oversized totes make it easy to find something you'll wear all summer. Love the new ads but what happened to Chanel Iman and Arlenis Sosa??

Cheers To Uniqlo

Something I think is truly creative and kool;

Uniqlo recently created a digital Tokyo Fashion Map; watch as styles switch and morph in front of you!

Jourdan Dunn Opens Up About Modeling

Shout out to SH Collective for posting this video blog about one of my top 5 favorite models, Jourdon Dunn

Jourdan Dunn from Nick Waterman on Vimeo.

Glitter Glam

I am excited that summer is coming soon! The weather (at least sometimes) is just right to get all dolled up at night without a heavy jacket. Right now, it’s all about showing off and getting your Beyonce Diva on. The best way to shine is with sequence and metallic but pair it off with nudes for a feminine, non Diana Ross look. If only I had somewhere to go...

Cheap Vs. Cute

I am a Maid of Honor in my friends wedding and need to buy shoes ASAP. The dress is hot pink and we are all wearing silver accessories. I am also on a TIGHT budget but willing to spend a little more if the shoe is hot-date worthy. I found two workable shoes, the first from Payless for $19.99! and the second which I think is very sexy from Piperlime.com but not sure if i'd honestly wear it again. What do you think?

Payless 19.99
This fierce sandal features a daring strappy silhouette in metallic snake-print, an adjustable strap for a good fit and a 3.75" stiletto heel. Padded footbed for comfort. Manmade materials.

Nina Shoe $89 Piperlime.com
Evening sandal. Stone embellishments. Adjustable ankle-strap closure, 3" satin-covered heel
Synthetic outsole, Upper: 100% satin

Keri Hilson Interview on Karmaloop TV

Jeremy Scott for Adidas Originals by Originals

Jeremy Scott does another collection for Adidas. Remember the gold winged tip sneakers earlier this year, well the line literally took off. Another collection, Originals by Originals, are soon to be released and this time he's gone wild. Ethnic prints are very much in style right now but I'm not that excited about any of the pieces in this go round. Leopard harem pants with a soccor patch on the knee, sweater dress with all-over-print animals straight out of a children's book, a giraffe oversized sweatshirt from Denise Huxtables closet.... really? I guess 80's/jungle/bright/sporty trend sounded good in theory, but wasn't so well executed. However, I'd probably buy the red track jacket tunic when it goes on sale

.

Quote of The Day

"Fashion is what you adopt when you don't know who you are." ~ Quentin Crisp

My response: I completely disagree with this statement. Fashion refers to the styles and customs prevalent at a given time. As fashion changes at any give time people do too; not because they don't know who they are but because they are constantly changing who they are. People don't adopt fashion, they express it.

Bruno Goes In, In Marie Claire's July Issue

British actor Bruno (the man who swooped down and put his balls in Eminiem face) went in hard on the insults in British Marie Claire magazine. In the July 2009 issue, Bruno goes over the "A-Z list of Fashion" which is more like an a-z list of jokes. Bruno and Victoria Secret model (and new mommy), Alessandra Ambrosio have fun on camera. See all of the pictures here.

H is for "High-vaisted Jeans", the fashionista said, explaining: "In terms of human tragedy on a mass scale, vy are zese not getting the attention zat Hurricane Katrina did?"
S is for "September 11th, 2001: Famous, of course, for being ze day on vich Oscar de la Renta reintroduced ze chambray peasant blouse."

A "little black child" is "zis seasons's vardrobe essential", BrĂ¼no wrote in reference to Madonna's attempt to adopt a second Malawian baby, while Wintour is likened to a "pre-op trannie". Of Campbell, he said: "She's amazing — twenty years in ze business und all ze pressure und fame hasn't changed her a bit — she's remained a total bitch."
