Is Clothing Tax Back For New York City???

On Tuesday, 12/16 our "blind, crack loving" (as SNL called him) Governor Patterson proposed sales tax on clothing for New York City again. Luxury goods (furs, couture, jewelery, etc.) costing over $20,000 will have a 5% sales tax. Guess I won't be getting my David Yurman ring. Just when you thought it would not affect you he's also trying to bring back the sales tax on clothing and shoes under $110. Instead we'll get 2 sessions one week sales tax free, probably for back to school and the begining of the year. Who elected this man in... oh thats right he's governer by default. Thanks Spitzer. Patterson is almost as bad as Bloomberg.
