Balmain is offically the "it designer" of the momment. Personally, I never heard of him until his famous shoulder pad jackets were worn by Beyonce, Rihanna and even Michael Jackson last season. This season is hot hot hot including super sexy mini dresses, destressed t-shirts, cut off shorts liquid blouses, leather pants and the no brainer jackets with stunning shoulder detailing. I can see brands like Bebe, Guess and A/X making knock offs of every outfit. This is one of my favorite collections this season, I was almost tempted to post pictures of all 38 looks. I encourage you to visit style.com to view the entiere collection.

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2009 Couture Runway Show
In other couture news, Jean Paul Gaultier had an eccentric Fall 2009 couture show. He received a bit of criticism for the lack of focus and the croc/metallic overalls with fur but I still enjoyed it. I can definitely see Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Rihanna wear some of bodysuits on stage. View the entire collection at style.com

Sasha Fierce for Deréon
Beyonce and Tina Knowls are taking this Sasha Fierce thing to a whole new level and fortunately a good one. By back-to-school time there will be a Sasha Fierce for Dereon junior apparel line in stores. I’ve never been a fan of House of Dereon but if the rest of the clothes are this fashion forward, I may have to look in to this.

Beyonce MTV's Europe Music Awards
Beyonce is killing the game in her dual outfits by Gareth Pugh. The red carpet dress is definitely the most wearable out of the two but I absolutely love the futuristic look with textures and shapes. Thank you Mrs. Knowles for putting it "where?, back there!" and letting someone else give her a new style. I know that wasn't you. Its about time Beyonce takes some risk and start becoming a fashion icon.
